Happy Father's Day: Images of love of the family

It's almost Father's Day and the Stanley Cup rally for the Chicago Blackhawks is a distant memory, but the day will be remembered by all that attended.  The celebration brought out families from all over the city away from their jobs to celebrate our Chicago team.

What I noticed most were the father's with their families.  There was not a thought of their career, as they held their children in their arms and stared proudly at their teenagers, knowing that this day would be one of their last to spend as a family before they went to college.

I remember vividly the Cherry Festival parade in Traverse City, MI when  I was 7 years old. I watched the parade with my parents, eating cotton candy and thrilled to be with my dad.  It never seemed like I saw enough of him since he was always working.

My father picked me up so I could see the parade.  I saw a lot of father's pick up their children to see the Blackhawks players.  Smiling, and just happy to be with their dad, these kids will forever remember the love and attention of their father long after the Stanley Cup leaves Chicago.

Enjoy the final photos from the Blackhawks rally.  Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there.  Thanks for the memories, dad!
