While Chicago's hometown comic convention is C2E2, cons are popular across the US. Each has its own set of exclusives- toys, books, beer. New York Comic Con was the only place to try Brooklyn Brewery's Defender IPA... until now. My friends at Lakeshore Beverage are introducing this superhero-themed "defender of beer" to The Windy City.
The launch party will be happening at one of my favorite places in Chicago: Rotofugi. The toys and art there are super cool. On February 12th, though, the environment will be even cooler. My girl Kat Janda will be drawing live comic portraits of attendees (that means you.) There will be beer aplenty, of course, and a raffle for artwork signed by Defender artist Khary Randolph.
I really want to help give Brooklyn Defender a warm welcome to Chicago (even if it's winter.) So, I'm offering a fantastic discount for the party! Use promo code defendbeer, and your tickets will be $6 each. Mmm, 40% off! Cheers to that. Thanks, BB. <3
Brooklyn Defender Chicago Launch Party. Thursday, February 12th, 2016. 7:30 PM. Rotofugi, 2780 N. Lincoln. $6 for GGC fans with promo code defendbeer. Buy tickets HERE.
Special thanks to my friends at Brooklyn Brewery and Lakeshore Beverage. The Lakeshore Game of Thrones events always sell out, so don't wait- this will be popular, too. I hope you'll come out and have a drink with me, geekhearts! ...Sorry, but I won't be dressed as Daenerys Targaryen this time.
