Women Rappel 45' Into A Cenote Jungle Cave in Mexico - An Eco-Hula Empowerment Eco-Adventure - 8

While in the Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula, we took an eco-tour deep into the jungle. We toured an amazing Mayan community known as Pacchen. Our guide introduced us to a shaman who blessed us in the Mayan tradition and then led us  to a deep underground cenote to swim – 40 feet deep and filled with over 40 feet of water.

Above us was the cave top filled with bats. Below us was a fresh water cenote so crystal clear, that when you shined a light through it, you could see over 40 feet to the bottom of the cave pool.

This adventure brought us closer to the Mayan people and taught my team and I that there is more to the jungle than you can imagine; there is a whole other world waiting for you to learn about and explore.

*Note – Because the FTC requires it, I am noting that the Mayan Riviera Tourism group sponsored this trip. I was not told what to document or how to document the experience, we were simply asked to attend and film – anything expressed in posts related to the activities is my own opinion expressed from my own personal experience.
