Fast Zipline Thru A Waterfall - an Eco-Hula Women Empowerment Eco-Adventure - Part 1

The Eco-Hula video series I hosted this season is all about real people exploring our environment. We began the adventure this summer and focused on women empowering themselves to conquer their fears while getting close to nature. Our first adventure; ziplining in Mexico.

XPLOR is an amazing zipline park near Playa Del Carmen in the heart of the Riviera Maya, Mexico. You can imagine my excitement when I was invited to film the experience with a tv crew in the middle of the Mexican jungle. We had an amazing time and a challenge. The climb was exhausting, but every time we were able to hop on, with the line screaming it’s music and the ground rushing past at 20 miles per hour, we were able to have a heart pounding exciting experience.

Ziplining at XPLOR is rather astounding. It is set in a jungle environment, but the static ziplines and climbing areas allow visitors to experience nature without trampling it to death. There are fast lines, water slides, and ziplines through waterfalls into caves. The tallest zipline at the park is around 150' high and took your breath away.

Filming the Eco-Hula video series was a challenge to say the least. My business partner and cameraman, Mario Salazar, had to tape and bungee cord the video camera to his arm to make sure it was not dropped during the fast action experience. Watch the video and see the great time we had.

Our team had endless fun - we climbed, we zipped, we screamed – and we loved every minute of it.

*Note – Because the FTC requires it, I am noting that the Mayan Riviera Tourism group sponsored this trip. I was not told what to document or how to document the experience, we were simply asked to attend and film – anything expressed in posts related to the activities is my own opinion expressed from my own personal experience.
