Did you know that you do not have to use the dishwasher everyday? Just use it about once or twice a week. I rarely use and clean it by hand, it takes a little longer, but I reduce my energy waste and it is cost effective. I figured I might be wasting my water, but that is one natural resource that is a constant flow. Thank God.
