The Year I Went Stark Raving Mad and Finally Made A Difference!

Crossed Eyes 02.jpg

It is true; I have gone stark raving mad. It happened at a time when
I least expected it - all my plots and schemes to inspire people with "simple green
living" grew into a creative ball of insanity which surpassed epic "I Love Lucy"
proportions. See these insane adventures in the "year in review" photo series below.

Keeping up with these visionary ideas became an effort that rivals Lucy and
Ethel's Candy Factory episode, and the amazing culmination and best part of this
crazier-than-a-fruitcake-year? Joining ChicagoNow.com's incredible team of gifted writers.

Today is the launch date for my blog, Gardening Nude and I am excited
to be a part of the ChicagoNow.com crew. We have restyled the look of Gardening Nude, but
not the inspiration - please let me know what you think of the new blog look.

In 2009 I did a lot of fun and creative things to educate my readers: I have jumped off a 30' tree in the jungles of the Yucatan Peninsula,
had ABC News show the world my rain barrels, created a fertile masterpiece with 5,000 pounds of rotted
buffalo manure, ripped out my entire front yard to
inspire locals to help feed the hungry, and traveled all over the country
keynote speaking. And that is just the beginning of the adventures I had in finding inspiration for both of my blogs and the newspaper column.

Of course, the best way to show you the year of fun is with pictures. To inspire a smile,
I have included a quick "year in review" photo series of some of the exciting, inspiring, and
downright nutty things that have happened in 2009 with my blogs.

My New Year Wish for both you and Gardening Nude is that 2010 is
even crazier, more exciting, and healthier than 2009. Happy New Year - now get out there and make a difference!
