We arrived exactly seven minutes after the sale started to join five women who seemed to find exactly what they wanted. Cookie sheets, spring form pans and heavy white restaurant ware were stacked in piles on top of the long butcher block counter, which sold for $125 first thing.
The sale took place in the dining room of Jon-Antony's apartment on Gregory in Andersonville on Tuesday from noon to 7pm. For sale in the dining room were the tools used to cook for a long list of star clients Jon-Antony lists on his blog. He's worked in the U.S. as a chef and food stylist and this year is moving back to his native Australia. Tabletop from Sur la Table, Cuisinart pots and pans, bakeware from Le Creuset, stuff that's a pleasure to use if you cook.
Jon-Antony said he had a hard time deciding what to see and wished he could take it all with him. However, Tuesday's sale was not to be the last. Still to come are the contents of basement storage plus a rented storage locker. I'll be sure to let you know when the next sale will be.
