You know sometimes when arrive at a small yard or rummage sale, you look around at the handful of tables and nothing strikes you as worth taking a closer look. Well, I'm glad I stuck around at the Beat Kitchen sale last Sunday. It was a mix of people and things you wouldn't find anywhere else.

Chicago Tattoo artist Scott Fricke was there to wish you a creepy Christmas with these handcrafted ornaments.  Small ones $10, larger $15. Last year's models, Scott explained, were a kind of blood-splattered teddy bear.

L and L Tavern owner Ken Franz brought in a collection of stuff including old scarves and gloves from the lost and found box. I picked up these two band tees, which Ken filled me in on. Thrill Kill Kult is an industrial grunge band about 10 - 15 years together.  Sadly, The Peelers recently broke up. They played what Ken called agressive pop.  The tee's were $3 each.

At one time when lots of friends were having babies, Ken bought a handful of these books for gifts.  He had a few left over.

Jamie and her roommate were selling some vintage clothes. The curly
lambs wool jacket for $15 sells for around $150 in a north shore
vintage shop.

Angela Crawley makes crafts and goes to Ireland every few years to take photographs.  She sells through Etsy sites Ruby Clover and Bohemienne.

A bartender at Beat Kitchen had an amazing collection of gig posters for $3 on average.
Then, Patty Borowiec, who'd like nothing more than to quit her day job and paint, added in itmes from her vintage and music scene collection.
