Just back from the Turkey Trot 8K in Lincoln Park, and I thought I'd share photos of some of the unsung heroes who came out for the race---the spectator dogs. About a dozen canines ran the race by my count, but tons were out and part of the audience. I didn't run this year, either, but was the designated driver for this crazy flock.
First, three cheers for the friendly volunteers in this truck who handed out free, hot coffee! The park and the course were a little wet, but the sun came out here and there, too.
This lab had good manners, or maybe it's the harness.
