Just got an email about the redesign of Kijiji, a free local classifieds site owned by eBay.
The new site is a big improvement over the old design, which honestly reminded me of the print version of Auto Trader.
Kijiji, which means village in Swahili, operates like Craigslist to
connect local buyers and sellers, keeping the pick-up or shipping
arrangements easy and low. Like Craigslists, it's also free---my
favorite word. You can post your apartment or yard sale, one piece of
furniture or a whole house full. You can find a job, sitter or
community event through the site, too.
With web stats that boast 7 million monthly
unique visitors and more than 400,000 live listings, let's keep an eye on how the redesigned site gets the word out on garage sales around town.
So far, there's one upcoming sale posted for Cary, IL on the 27th,
