This morning I took the scenic route on Route 41 to some sales in Lake Forest. My brother-in-law had called earlier this week to tell me about the First Presbyterian Church sale. It's on through 3pm today at 700 N. Sheridan Road, where Deerpath Rd intersects with Sheridan.
Good sale for clothes, and no, they're not all preppy. Confession: I did buy a wool plaid skirt from Talbots.
This man, who has three sons, bought seven suits at $15 apiece and found more sport coats for $5 .
This couple got a deal on a small cabinet and table, both pieces for $40. All they need now, they said, is an apartment.
Here are more photos, including the price signs from most sections. Unlike other north shore sales I've reviewed to date, this one had plenty of space for a crowd of shoppers. Parking was easy, too. The church is close to the Lake Forest Metra station if you're training it.
