Striving to live a non-consumptive life in NYC, Colin Beavan, his wife and small daughter live without for a year. No buying new stuff. No AC or TV- their large screen model goes to the thrift. No disposable food packaging--he carries a glass jar for coffee and once just washed out a Starbucks cup from the garbage can for reuse.
The movie (looking forward to it!) opens in Chicago on Sept. 18 at Music Box Theatre including a personal appearance by Colin .
