New 'NBA 2K13' Developer Insight Video, Screenshots (Derrick Rose)

2K Sports has released their first NBA 2K13 developer insight video for gameplay. The biggest change that is talked about in the video is the right stick, which was previously the shot stick by default, is now the control stick. You can view the entire video below.

2K also released new screenshots of the cover boys: Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin.

NBA 2K13 will be in stores on October 2nd.

EDIT: Just read a blog post by Anthony Sulla-Heffinger of the New York Post and he had a hands-on preview of NBA 2K13. He mentions some changes in the game that were not touched on in the video below. Two things Sulla-Heffinger mentions that caught my eye were:

No. 1) Manual bounce passing. This is something I've been calling for, especially with how easy it is for people to steal the ball and abuse the passing lanes. Being able to bounce pass into the post will help a great deal. Hopefully the overall passing is fixed as well, because it was completely broken in NBA 2K12.

No. 2) Kinect integration is something I usually don't care about for sports titles, but it could be useful in NBA 2K13. You won't use the Kinect to take jumpshots, but you'll use it to call out plays, call for picks, intentional fouls, etc... It will be nice to not have to scroll through on-the-fly menus trying to pick a play, while you also have those steal abusers hacking away at you.

There are several other improvements that need to be made from last year's game, but so far, so good.
