Jay-Z To Be The Executive Producer For 'NBA 2K13' - Whatever That Means

So 2K Sports announced that rapper, and part owner of the Brooklyn Nets, Jay-Z will be the "Executive Producer" for NBA 2K13. Another NBA 2K announcement that has nothing to do with gameplay.

“This has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with 2K Sports and be a part of one of the best sports video games in history,” Jay-Z said. "NBA 2K13 will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I’m ready to usher in the new era of the franchise.”

As one person noted in the YouTube comment section for the Jay-Z trailer, "Is Jay-Z going to fix the online servers?." Probably not, but according to 2K Sports, Jay-Z hand picked the songs for the soundtrack.

What I would like to see from 2K Sports is how they plan to fix their broken passing system and gameplay issues. One of my biggest pet peeves with NBA 2K12 was trying to pass the ball to a player cutting to the basket and that player would inexplicably pull his hands back, causing what should be an easy basket to be a complete disaster. You can see an example of what I mean in the video below.

Here's the tracklist for NBA 2K13. Music in a video game is something I have never cared about, but for those that do - here's the list. And you can view the Jay-Z trailer below if you have 24 seconds of time to waste.
