2012 Preseason Top 25 White Sox Prospects

2012 Preseason Top 25 White Sox Prospects
The 2011-2012 offseason has seen some significant changes for the White Sox and that certainly includes the minor league system. The changes haven't been dramatic enough to turn a weak farm system into a strong one, but there are definitely some intriguing new players to watch. Pitching depth has improved markedly, but position player depth is still abysmal. Even a shallow system like the Sox have is not fully devoid of talent...

Doyle Headlines AFL Performances

The Arizona Fall League finished up recently and for the most part it was a forgettable season from a White Sox standpoint. This year didn’t feature the emergence of Sergio Santos as in 2009 or the comeback of Jared Mitchell like last year, but there was one player who surprised just about everyone. Terry Doyle,... Hot and Cold 7/21-7/28
With the trade deadline looming, this time of year is usually exciting for baseball fans. The White Sox already have one trade in the books and there might be more. For now that hasn’t had a major impact on the minor league system (Zach Stewart hasn’t played since the trade), but we could see some... Read more »

Dash, Intimidators have rosters full of All-Stars

Brandon Kloess has been a knockout reliever for the Intimidators this year posting a 1.16 ERA with 39 SO/6 BB in 31 innings out of the Kannapolis bullpen. Kloess is an older guy (25), so it's tough to know what to make of him as a prospect, but the numbers are certainly impressive.
With a 40-23 record it’s unsurprising to hear that the Winston-Salem Dash have several players named to the Carolina League All-Star team, but the Kannapolis Intimidators’ 30-33 record is rather less impressive, yet they have several All-Stars of their own.

FutureSox Prospects of April

The first month of the season is in the books and early overreactions are occurring everywhere. That means it’s time to bring back the monthly awards, albeit a week late.
