Scouting report
Originally an infielder, Molina got his first crack at being a pro pitcher at 19. In three years as a reliever he succeeded based on impeccable control. In 2011 the Blue Jays made him a starting pitcher and he posted career best strikeout rates and maintained the control over two levels. He posted really strong numbers in high-A, which earned him a promotion to AA to finish the year. There he posted stupefying numbers (22 IP, 33 K, 2 BB, 0.41 ERA) in five starts. Molina's best attribute is his control; his stuff doesn't rate out above average. He features a fastball that hovers around 90, a good splitter, a solid change and a below average curveball. His command makes him a possible No. 3, but a lot of scouts think he will wind up back in the bullpen.
Major League Outlook: No. 3 starter/reliever
