Scouting report
Danks is a great athlete that plays plus defense in centerfield. He has a lot of range and a good arm. As a hitter, he is more of a work in progress. In high school, scouts projected him to add a good amount of power, but that never developed during his time at Texas. However, he has flashed some power in more recent years and still projects to be a 15-20 HR threat in the Majors. Danks possesses above average speed, but isn't a stolen base threat. He was slowed in 2009 with a wrist injury after being promoted to Birmingham and has struggled against advanced pitching where strikeouts became the top concern for Danks. He doesn't have the power to compensate for a low contact rate. The younger brother of John, Jordan was drafted by the White Sox twice and signed for an overslot bonus.
