Do What you Say and Say What you Do

Let your actions line up with your words. If you’re not going to do it, then don’t say it. It’s easy to stop trusting people who don’t deliver on their word. Even if your intentions are pure, if you said it and don’t execute, you run the risk of tarnishing your character. People who know you may give you a pass, but even they will get tired if its repeated behavior. If you made a vow that you can no longer keep for whatever reason, then say so. People can be understanding. Don’t leave the matter unsettled. This helps the other person maintain trust and respect for you. Words are powerful, but ultimately actions outweigh them.
