Rahm Emanuel: Has absence made our hearts grow fonder?

Despite Chicago leading the nation in unemployment, gas prices, political corruption and more shooting deaths than in Afghanistan, Mayor Rahm Emanuel takes his doctor’s advice to heart: “Make sure to take some breaks.”

First, his family vacationed four times in the first 7 months this year (to Peru, Argentina, Czech Republic and Utah). Then after concluding his turbulent handling of the teachers’ strike in September, Rahm went on a more-or-less paid sabbatical for most of October for the Obama Super PAC.

So post-election to reintroduce our multifaceted Machiavellian mayor to Chicago, here are 10 of my favorite faces of Rahm:
