The devil wears Prada...and gym shoes!

The devil wears Prada...and gym shoes!
In the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” Meryl Streep portrayed the boss from hell who judged her employees based purely on  what they looked like. As the editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine, that seemed only fair–except judging people on appearance leaves no room for their talent or knowledge, which was the case for Andy... Read more »

Remembering Risa, my childhood friend

Remembering Risa, my childhood friend
I can remember playing with Risa, my childhood friend, and the hours we spent playing on end like it was yesterday, but it’s actually been almost forty years since those days.  Risa was the daughter of my father’s friend and drinking buddy, so when my dad and Mr. Young, or Chick as he was affectionately... 'Food, Inc.' has made me think...Now what do I do?

From brokenness and bitterness to forgiveness—the best advice I ever received
My life almost thirty years ago now today almost seems unreal. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that the woman I am now was the young, naive girl I was then. When I think of my childhood of happy moments playing in my backyard laying in the grass watching the clouds pass by, I... Read more »
