Fitness At Home: Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

Recipe Time!

So, this is a creation I came up with because of my obsession with breakfast sandwiches. I found myself frequenting Starbucks and getting theirs. Now, the sandwiches are Starbucks aren't really all that bad (so, if you are on the go, I totally recommend stopping there)... BUT if you want FULL control over what goes into your sandwich, then I recommend making this yummy version at home!

1 Arnold Select 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thin
2 egg whites
2 slices of low-fat low-calories deli ham (approx. 35 calories worth)
1 slice of Gouda cheese (I use Finlandia brand)**
1 Morning Star Farms Maple-Flavored Sausage Patty

1.) Lightly coat skillet w/non-stick spray. In a small bowl, crack open eggs and scramble with fork. Empty eggs into skillet and cook until done.
2.) Divide Arnold Sandwich Thin in two (they are pre-cut), place ham slices and goude slice onto sandwich thin.
3.) Cook Morning Star Farms sausage as desired (I do microwave because it's quick and easy)... see package for instructions. Once cooked, slice long-ways to divide sausage into two thin pieces.
4.) Put egg and sausage onto sandwich thin with the ham and cheese.
5.) Place completed sandwich into toaster oven and lightly toast (until bread has browned and cheese is melted).
