Fire drop back below redline in 3-2 loss at Vancouver

A Kei Kamara brace powered the Vancouver Whitecaps to a 3-2 win over the Fire. The visitors controlled possession but Vancouver had most of the quality chances. Nemanja Nikolic scored his eight goal of the season for the Fire to level the match at 1-1 just before the half and Tony Tchani scored a late screamer to make the game close at the end.

Jordan Mutch gave the Whitecaps the lead in the 47th minute after beating two Fire defenders on a ball over the top.

The loss, paired with Montreal's win moves the Impact ahead of the Fire into sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
