Fire/Arshakyan mutually part ways

David Arshakyan and the Fire have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The move frees up an international roster spot and clears approximately $178,850, Arshakyan's 2017 guaranteed compensation from the team's 2018 budget.

Without Arshakyan, the Fire now have five internationals remaining on the roster. That count includes Jorge Bava, Michael de Leeuw, Johan Kappelhof, Nemanja Nikolic, and Luis Solignac. Bava's spot could be cleared soon as well.

The current roster:

GK: Bava, Cleveland, Lampson

DEF: Campbell, Corrales, Dean, Kappelhof, Polster, Vincent

MID: Accam, Bronico, Conner, Johnson, McCarty, Mihailovic

FWD: de Leeuw, Nikolic, Solignac

  • Guillermo, any rumors about the Homegrowns from Indiana and North Carolina joining the Fire this year?

  • In reply to go fire:

    Lillard is a shoe-in.

    Lindley, not so much.
