Mihailovic undergoes ACL surgery

The Fire announced today that rookie Homegrown Player Djordje Mihailovic underwent Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction on his right knee. The procedure was performed at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Hospital.

His estimated recovery time is six to eight months.

Both Mihailovic and Michael de Leeuw are likely to be unavailable in 2018 until June or July if their recoveries go well.

  • Nelson Rodriguez will hold his final scheduled media address of 2017 next Tuesday at 9am.

Can I suggest some questions (c'mon throw me a bone and ask one)

    1. Have talks begun with Basti?
    2. Will Fire be bringing back the entire coaching staff?
    3. Will Fire make a move for any MLS free agents?
    4. Will there be any homegrown signings this spring?
    5. What specifically does year three of the three year plan entail?

  • In reply to Krasov:

I think we got most of those in.

  • In reply to Guillermo Rivera:

will we get a write up soon?

  • Best wishes and good luck to both Djordje Mihailovic and Michael de Leeuw. Two bright stars for the Fire who both deserved a far better finish to their season.

  • I've never rooted for Columbus as much as did last night. Anything to do with the Yankees losing makes my day. The same ref for the Fire/NYRB game was in Portland last night. He was again atrocious. I don't know why he is so highly rated. The Toronto-NYRB game was a joke. NYRB's character came through as simply a bunch of petulant cry babies. I'm rooting for Houston!!!

All MLS fans should be concerned about Crew moving from Columbus
