USOC match day - Fire v Riverhounds

Expect the Fire to field a strong side against USL-Pro's Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The visitors feature former Fire bust Collins John and ex-MLS players Joseph Ngwenya and Danny Earls but they currently sit at the bottom of the USL table with a 1-7-5 record.

Frank Yallop will have a full squad at his disposal with the exception of Patrick Nyarko and Gonzalo Segares, who both underwent surgery to remove bone spurs in their ankles over the last few weeks. Mike Magee has returned to training and is available.

Should the Fire advance past Pittsburgh, they will face the Columbus Crew next week at Toyota Park. The Crew defeated Indy Eleven in extra time last night in fourth round play by a score of 2-1. Jairo Arrieta's penalty kick in the 115th minute was the difference despite Columbus playing with nine men. Adam Bedell picked up a straight red in the 34th and Daniel Paladini was shown the door in the 110th.

Defending tournament champion, DC United was ousted courtesy of a 1-0 loss to USL-Pro's Rochester Rhinos in less than ideal weather conditions.

The match will stream live at 7:30 with Dan Kelly and Kevin Egan on the call.
