Ten games is hardly enough for reserve squads to break a sweat over the course of a long season and with that in mind the Fire have added two additional matches to the reserve schedule in 2014. The first will take place at the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Indiana on April 1st at 6:30 cdt and the opponent will be former Fire General Manager Peter Wilt's new NASL club Indy Eleven.
West Lafayette is a short two hour ride away from Chicago and should provide an opportunity for supporters of both clubs to travel for the match. Tickets for the match are on sale now at Indyeleven.com.
The second additional match will take place on April 6 at Toyota Park against Marquette University. Several Chicago Fire Academy products currently play for Marquette including midfielder Brady Wahl who has made several appearances in reserve matches already.
