Cuauhtemoc Blanco back in Chicago

Fire legend Cuauhtemoc Blanco was in attendance for tonight's match and addressed the media before the game.  Blanco talked about being invited back for the Fire's 15th Anniversary and his time in Chicago.

  • Don't know who was more pathetic, the Fire or the "Ref" who has no business being on the pitch in the first place and which also could be applied to several un-named Fire players.
    How many goals has Anababa given up for being out of position or failing to cover up.
    Thought Franco played pretty well before the red, the team seemed to pick up the level of play when he came in, don't know why he got the red, didn't look any worse than some of the other fouls committed.
    It seemed the ref took his cue from reaction of the players rather what he actually saw, if the MLS puts officials of his caliber on the pitch, it will take a long time before it is recognized as a truly professional league. But still it was the Fire's lack of quality on both
    sides of the ball that lead them to defeat, a well earned loss.

    It seemed to me that the red was hard to argue with. Studs up right on the shin will get you just about every time.
