  • I thought Henry was suspended for this match...

  • Pappa got a nice stamp in on Bellouchy's ankle. Deserved the yellow. And inspired Bellouchy to make the best shot yet this half.

I will be surprised if no one collapses from heat exhaustion in the 2nd half.

  • Zzzzz
    0-0 at the half

  • I can see why they are pushing for another N.Y. after todays
tremendous attendance, everyone must have been at camp.

  • Meant N.Y. team.

Wowsers. Henry may be getting older, but there aint another player in MLS who could have scored a goal like that.

  • Man, the guys on ESPN Deportes, 97.5 FM, are really laying into Klopas for his timid line-up in the first half. Can't say that I disagree. Alex has shown some flashes but I won't believe he's playing for a win if he has both Pardo and Pause in at the same time. I think he should give Robayo the chance he's been asking for and see if he and Pardo or he and Pause can do something more productive. Ugh...

  • Coquito18 agree would like to sit Pause a game and give Robayo
a chance. Pause cant take the free kicks and connect on Passes
    as Pardo can.

  • In reply to Juergen:

This Loss just another example how Baaaadly we need that
proven Goal Scorer!!! We have Orduro, Rolfe, Barouch and of
course the DP(Disappointing Player) Puppo all cant score on
a consistent basis. Chicago Fire Please Find that Young Talented
    Goal Scorer.

  • Great finish by Henry (hate that it was against us, but was a beauty to see). He now has 10 goals. Kenny Cooper has 11 goals. We have two goal scorers with 5 goals a piece. We've known for 2 seasons now that we've needed an upgrade up top. What the *&$% is taking the organization so long to address this position? Rolfe and Oduro are, imo, fine to pair with a top end striker, but until that we are going to suffer from constant disappointment with this squad. I'm half inclined not to watch any more games until the team addresses the position, why am I wasting time taking off work to watch a game when the organization doesn't even seem to be trying to fulfill a need any one of us has been able to see for years now?

  • Henry's goal only seemed beautiful because Johnson was woefully out of position.

He had plenty of time to adequately cover his angle and failed.

  • In reply to Roti2000:

Dude, he drilled it off the post, what do you expect SJ to do?

  • In reply to Roti2000:

    Riiiight...

Because he should have known that Henry was going to curl his shot far post - should have backed up 10 feet and left the near post wide open. Oh, but wait, then Henry would have just drilled it there... nevermind...

It would have been nice to see Anibaba close Henry down more quickly, or better to have some pressure on the cross over to him.

But I don't think you can blame Johnson on this one.
