Fire top Minnesota Stars in final tune-up

The Fire officially completed pre-season play this morning with a 3-1 victory over the defending NASL champion NSC Minnesota Stars at the Toyota Park practice field.  Goals scored by Dominic Oduro, Daniel Paladini, and Orr Barouch provided the difference but head coach Frank Klopas wasn’t thrilled with allowing a late goal from a set piece.... Friedrich joins the Fire

German World Cup veteran Arne Friedrich has signed a one year deal with the Fire.  The 32 year old defender, mostly recently with Wolfsburg was released in September at his request after suffering an injury that has kept him out of action until now.
