  • New pre-game show isn't bad. Would prefer to have Kelly, Whitfield, and Egan live on site rather than calling the game from a studio though.

Opening night ad is also well done.

  • Decent first 20 minutes, but Montreal had the better of it over the last 25 minutes of the first half.

  • In reply to Guillermo Rivera:

Agreed. The Fire look more composed that Montreal did in Vancouver but are still showing some season-opener jitters -- inaccurate passes, a few defensive scares, etc. They need to start taking shots and make Montreal work harder to defend.

  • Extremely disappointing first half. Fire created almost nothing. Pappa aimlessly dribbling into a defender every time he touches the ball. Grazzini needs to not let himself get pushed off the ball so easily.

  • Could see that goal coming all the way. Poor organization in the Fire back line so far.

  • Montreal given hectares of space on that goal...

  • 1-0 Montreal.. ugh.

  • Pappa off now. Let's see if Puppo can create some spark.

  • Looking better now and finally... GOAL ODURO!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whoa!! Exciting final moments there with a big scare. I'll take the draw, all things considered. Franks got a little fine tuning to do but I trust he'll handle it. Nice performance from Puppo. Nice (overall) first look from Hunter Jumper, as well. Glad to see Oduro get his first goal in this first match.

  • The continued inability to beat expansion sides is kind of frustrating, but there were a lot of extenuating circumstances for this one. Hopefully we pick it up next week.

  • Thought the quality of the field looked week. This field looked awful. It was better than what the Expos played on though so they had that going for'em. It will be nice to see the team play on grass to see if that helps their passing and possible the distribution from the back.
