Fire Add 4 In Supplemental Draft

The Fire added four new players that will compete for spots on the opening day roster via the MLS Supplemental Draft today.  The 9th overall pick Evans Frimpong (F - Delaware) will be the third Ghanian forward on the squad.

Carl Woszczynski a 6'-4" goalkeeper from UAB who claims he grew up supporting the Fire was selected with the 15th pick.  The team used their third round pick on midfielder Tony Walls out of UW-Green Bay and their final pick in the fourth round on Justin Chavez, a defender from Tulsa.

Woszczynski stands a good shot at sticking around if he shows some promise in camp since Sean Johnson could miss more time this season due to national team duty and the Fire have only Jay Nolly currently on the roster as a back up.

More news on the jersey sponsor and the 2012 kits coming shortly.
