  • Oduro's starting so moving Nyarko into midfield with Chaves in the withdrawn role sounds like the right move to me.

  • Looks like Seattle all over again. How can these guys all be so tired?!? I should have gone to the ice arena tonight.

  • Uninspired first half and the Fire deservedly trail 1-0......actually fortunate it's only 1-0.

45 minutes left in this season if they can't find two goals somewhere.

  • Well, so far, so bad. Too bad I just got my train and match tickets for the DC game on Saturday.

  • Bad as the Fire are tonight the TV announcers are decidedly worse. Don't think I've heard anyone call a game this poorly all year.

  • In reply to Arklow:

Have to disagree, the Fire were far worse than the announcers,
hard to call a non-interesting game when one team plays dreadfully. Maybe they should have said "this sucks" and kept quiet
    the rest of the game

  • The good news for Fire fans tonight is not too many of them appear to have lost their money on tickets.

  • Reminds me of a hobbled horse.

  • Season over. just look lazy

  • Pardo, smartest Fire player on the field, rescues himself from the humiliation with the extra bonus of not having to appear in the next scheduled humiliation. Earns bonus points for player of the game.

Don't wake me up unless it's for the announcement of the new owner, general manager, coach, etc.

  • In reply to Arklow:

I just bought tickets to watch the Fire play without Pardo, Gargan, and Gibbs in what is now a meaningless match against DC. What's worse is that I have to convince my wife I'm enthusiastic about going since it's one of two times I can see the Fire play nearby this year (Philly's almost as close to Baltimore as DC). i'm not feeling it.

  • In reply to Modibo:

There is a small Section 8 contingent headed to DC. Try to hook up with them through the S8C forum.

Just got one back, but its too late.

No USOC, no Playoffs. That deflated quickly.

  • Perhaps having Pappa would have helped, but that wasn't the reason the Fire lost. The starting lineup should have been strong enough to win, but the only one seemingly to have his head in the game was Gargan and for a short while Johnson who blew what should have been an easy pickup. Anibaba seemed asleep for half of the game and the passing was dreadful (by everyone). If this is the best the team can do in a must win situation, the team is worse off than many of us think, with or without Pappa.
Only a great pass by Barouch to Grazzini saved us from complete humiliation. The spacing was horrible with huge gaps both on defense and offense.
Hopefully they'll start Barouch in the remaining games, at least he put some spark into the game. Overall, a very mediocre effort in a must win game.
