  • Klopas goes with Videira at right back. Olson moves Woolard outside and Kitchen to half back....Simms back at holding mid.

Both teams may have some issues defending on the outside.

  • if this match taught me anything...

its that i wanna see MORE BARROUCH in the last match

he had a touch that led to both goals tonite.

what a great finish to the match, esp since the DC goal was off a soft penalty

  • Overall, a pretty solid team effort although they started out a bit sluggish.
In the last several games, although he didn't score Barouch
has had some "Barca" type touches, the kind of touches that win games. Felt he should have started on top, and put Nyarko a mid,
putting Pappa in a more defensive role, feel very shakey with
Paladini starting. The thing about Orr is that he understands his position better than most Fire players understand theirs. He plays on top and generally remains on top instead of wandering around.
This makes a lot of sense as it stretches the defense and they can't
collapse down on Nyarko and Oduro. The Oduro / Barouch combo
can be very creative and explosive.
Also, felt Klopas should have left Oduro in and taken off Paladini
for Orr. Great comeback but probably a bit late to make the playoffs.
Will be interesting to see who they'll expose to the Montreal draft, just can't see them not protecting Orr.

  • how many times in the match did pappa run into grazzini? he was always in the wrong space it seems. when grazzini has the ball, dont just stand there 3 feet away from him - go wide and make a diagonal run or something for crying out loud

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Agreed. Sad part is tonight's work was the best he has performed with Grazzini. I liked Pappa's right footed shot early in the game. Gonzo's fouls was soft, but he did have both his hands on Quaranta's back. It was a dumb move on his part to be that physical when Quaranta was heading away from goal. Not a smart play. Was Gonzo off-side on the second goal? He might have been. Great come back nonetheless!!

  • In reply to Krasov:

no he was not offside - it was a well timed pass by barrouch.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Yep.....I also mentioned that in my recap.

I stopped the video, and he was completely onside. Great run. Surprised the ref didn't pull that one back, you know they are pretty blind.
