Pre Season Live Streaming and Live Chat

The Fire announced today that all three Carolina Challenge Cup matches will be streamed live via Chicago-Fire.com.  Tomorrow's match against Toronto FC will kick off at 4 pm and if you'd like to watch the game and comment on the proceedings in real time click back here tomorrow and join the first Fire Confidential live chat session.

**Kit Talk**
On another note, I've been told that the team is looking at different design options for the home AND road jerseys in 2012 although there will NOT be a third kit.

  • Told you GR. Bad feelings...

  • Guess it's back to eBay I go...One day flag shirt, one day...

  • can anyone explain why Chicago, 3rd largest city in the country, has only 4,000 STH's? Are we that bad a soccer market? Were there more STH at Soldier Field? Does this number make us last in the league? It really is an appalling number, and yes, 4,000 is the total as I remember the same question about the number representing new or total STH's was asked last year as well.

  • In reply to Celt:

Well, I cancelled my season tickets because of the product on the field. Is this really worth 200$ and up a season?

  • In reply to patrickhattrick:

    Most definitely yes.

  • In reply to patrickhattrick:

Andrew Dykstra has signed with the Charlston Battery.

    This might depress you...

  • In reply to cesba:

How pathetic is the photoshop job on the supporters' shirts on the Carolina Challenge page? Look closely at the white band where "Best Buy" used to live:

  • In reply to Modibo:

Modibo, you are right.....that does look tacky.

  • In reply to Modibo:

It is that attention to detail we have come to know and love from the Fire 'marketing department...

  • In reply to Modibo:

Since a Chicago based company is The Jersey Sponsor for Manchester
United Maybe Julian Posada can redeem himself by begging them to
    sponsor their Home Town Team.
Just an idea for Mr. Posada to consider.

  • In reply to Modibo:

They looked decent. Ferrari dribbles too much, but looked very useful. Johnson looked suspect, missed all three balls he came for. A few minutes won't do Bone much good. liked the broadcast team better than last years. Are they local, or the new Fire team?

  • In reply to Celt:

This was not the new broadcast team. The PBP man was Andrew Bell of the Charlston Battery and the color man was team writer Jeff Crandall. I actually thought they were better than some ESPN or FSC teams I've heard.

  • In reply to Celt:

I think I was watching Chaves and thought it was Ferrarri. Mls site says Ferrarri subbed for Ferrarri in the 79th minute. now I'm not sure what I think I saw. pity about the broadcast team, they were good.

  • In reply to Celt:

Yeah, Crandall did a great job, and I enjoyed Bell. Chaves started the game, Ferrarri came in for him in the 79th.

  • In reply to Celt:

We need a play by play Announcer like Howard Balsm who used to
work for the Chicago Sting. He did a great job and is far better
than anyone the Fire has ever had. Crandall does ok with his interviews but does not compare to Howard Balsm. I have seen him
at Fire games last year. He would be great as our play by play announcer and would electrify us fans.
