  • CJ Brown is not dressed after playing in every match this year.

Umanzor gets the nod ahead of Krol.

  • Chris Sullivan says De Los Cobos has done a great job during the pre game show

  • Cobos clearly has a personal issue with Krol.

  • DC is leading Toronto 1-0 late, on a goal from Julius James

  • In reply to cesba:

I had a gut feeling for some reason that TFC was going to lose that game. TFC radio announcers sound like something tragic happened on the field. TFC fans booing loudly.

  • In reply to cesba:

Two good results so far today as New York beats Colorado 3-1 and United does the Fire a favor by beating Toronto 1-0.

  • In reply to cesba:

*sigh* shows you how much opportunity was missed by chicago when toronto gets beat by the worst team in MLS

same thing happened with the houston game too, houston took a dump the next game

  • In reply to cesba:

Looks like a 4-2-3-1 with Pause and Husidic ahead of the defense. Nyarko on the right, Ljungberg in the middle, and Castillo on the left with John up top.

  • In reply to cesba:

9' - Kinney scores on the header but he's offsides

  • In reply to cesba:

14' - Nyarko and Castillo switch sides

  • In reply to cesba:

18" - awful giveaway from Robinson almost costs the Fire.

  • In reply to cesba:

22' - Castillo loses the ball again

  • In reply to cesba:

23' - Umanzor with a nice block on an attempted cross

  • In reply to cesba:

29' - An awful Castillo back pass results in a shot saved by Johnson

  • In reply to cesba:

32' - Ljungberg's shot is saved by Knighton. Best chance so far for both sides.

  • In reply to cesba:

36' - Somehow LeToux is wide open in the middle of the pitch and scores. 1-0 Union.

  • In reply to cesba:

Sloppy passing and sloppy defending from the Fire.

  • In reply to cesba:

Looking at the Union goal again. It appears Mapp trapped the ball initially with his arm.

  • In reply to cesba:

44'- Collins John shot is knocked away by Knighton

  • In reply to cesba:

45'+ - Yellow on Conde for the hit on Moreno.

Johnson saves the LeToux free kick.

Half time 1-0 Union. 45 minutes left in 2010.

  • In reply to cesba:

No urgency from this team what so ever. Terrible!!

  • In reply to cesba:

3 decent attacks in the half for chicago - once on the left with umazor crossing, once on the right with kinney crossing, and once up the middle on a thru pass to collins john

  • In reply to cesba:

Looks like the Fire saving the best for last game of this season.

  • In reply to cesba:

I feel a sub coming in a start of second half...

  • In reply to Adam25:

    Halftime sub Carr for Husidic

  • In reply to Adam25:

55' - Fred is on for Mwanga

  • In reply to Adam25:

56' - Robinson knocks away Mapp's through ball attempt to Fred

  • In reply to Adam25:

58' - Banner is in for Collins John. yikes

  • In reply to cesba:

    why????

  • In reply to cesba:

61' - Castillo and Banner waste a chance as neither one tries to get the ball on net

  • In reply to cesba:

62' - Now Nyarko shoots from distance when he should have passed

  • In reply to cesba:

Fire finally looking dangerous but can't muster a shot on net

  • In reply to cesba:

    70' - Salinas for Moreno

  • In reply to cesba:

20 min left to score twice...
not looking good with this offense

  • In reply to cesba:

76' - Banner to Carr but the header is high. decent chance

  • In reply to cesba:

    77' - Nakazawa for Mapp

  • In reply to cesba:

78' - Fantastic ball from Jacobson for LeToux but the shot is wide

  • In reply to cesba:

    82' - Season ticking away

  • In reply to cesba:

This would be Philly's FIRST clean sheet of the season. wow

89' - Conde from distance saved by Knighton

  • In reply to cesba:

90'+ - Fred is carried off and he's up as soon as he gets to the sideline

  • In reply to cesba:

    Final - Union 1 Fire 0

The fat lady is about to step on stage

  • In reply to cesba:

    ugh.

  • In reply to cesba:

Fire....BAD!!! Nobody wants to attack the net. Losing to Knighton says it all.

  • In reply to cesba:

this team wants a champinship? Really?

  • In reply to cesba:

only really tested the opposing keeper twice.

  • In reply to cesba:

pathetic game. i cant fault the effort, the fire really were active after the phily goal. too bad it took the score to get em going. i am finally starting to think its the tactics being used that is the problem here. either our back 4 are so bad that DLC feels the only way to cover that up is to play so defensively, or they are playing afraid to make mistakes

also castillo made several open runs that were missed by the man on the ball. i duno who the scorer on this team is sposed to be anymore, but i kinda figgered he would start filling that role sometime soon

  • In reply to Adam25:

lets keep throwing long ball forward because we arent winning any headers

this team is so frustrating to watch

  • In reply to cesba:

i like Nowaks coaching style. phily gets after it and attacks

too bad chicago hasnt discovered that kind of attractive soccer yet :(
