  • In reply to cesba:

28' - GOAL!!!! Thorrington converts the PK!

Bad call but the Fire lead 1-0.

  • In reply to cesba:

30' - Nyarko is still down after taking a hit from Ianni

  • In reply to cesba:

36' - Montero ties it as Krol runs by and Segares behind him. He should not be that open.

  • In reply to cesba:

43' - yellow on Nkufo for a shove on Brown

  • In reply to cesba:

45+" - Brown takes a boot to the face from Nyassi

  • In reply to cesba:

1-1 at half time. Fire was a little better early and Seattle was better as the half went on. Fortunate PK call and alot of chippy action. Second half should be interesting.

  • In reply to cesba:

my halftime observations. lucky to be tied 1-1. fire got a gift from the ref. game is getting really chippy since the penalty. looked like segares blew his mark on montero's goal. this field makes some strange bounces, and when they get by pause it makes our defense look scattered & confused. pause seems to be the key to the defense. thorrington looks like he is still a bit off on timing but i suppose thats to be expected. why does nyarko get the ball wide with so much space and immediately cut inwards into traffic? they not expecting that he can cross accurately enough? ljungberg is having a tough time, the seattle defense is really charged up to take him on.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Watching the replay it looks like Montero got in behind Segares. Hard to tell where Segares was coming from on the play. He may have been caught tracking back from going forward.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

eh i just realized the times nyarko cut in was when he was on the left side. he is a right footed right? probly when he didnt stay wide left, he probly cant cross with his left

  • In reply to CountChocula:

52' - Jeff Parke skies a decent chance

  • In reply to CountChocula:

nyarko and ljungberg having problems on this surface

  • In reply to CountChocula:

    61' - Zakuani for Nyassi.....danger

  • In reply to CountChocula:

66' - John gets a foul call on Ianni

  • In reply to CountChocula:

gotta say, they are at least playing attractive flowing soccer, moving the ball, but very ineffective in final third.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

68' - Nkufo shoots weakly and wide as Brown defends

  • In reply to CountChocula:

How about a Carr for John sub right now?

  • In reply to CountChocula:

although they are enemies at the moment... much respect for Seattle and their whole franchise. We have a great thing with support and fans here in chicago, but they have something special there. Respect.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

80' - 10 minutes to go still no sub for John

  • In reply to CountChocula:

83' - yellow on Ljungberg and he will miss the LA game

  • In reply to CountChocula:

terrible yellow card call on Ljungberg

  • In reply to CountChocula:

85' - Carr comes on for Nyarko

  • In reply to CountChocula:

90' - yellow on Jaqua for tripping Johnson

  • In reply to CountChocula:

91' - WTF? Montero is wide open on the far post for the lead. Great service....terrible marking.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Fernandez with some ridiculous time wasting

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Tough loss...Fire did not play badly but got little effectiveness in the final third

  • In reply to CountChocula:

well thats the story of the Fire's year. play for a draw and lose in the final minutes

  • In reply to CountChocula:

galaxy lost, so chicago is getting LA on a real downslide of late

  • In reply to CountChocula:

what happened to the 30 minute CSN post game show?

  • In reply to cesba:

CSN have to hurry to show some bad Bears preseason football that is so unwatchable....that is the lead story.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

With with the fire offense Getting nothing up top why not make a sub (John), more poor coaching for me. 36000+ is wonderful for the league. Hope Seattle goes far in the playoffs, their fans deserve it.

  • In reply to fire1020:

Colton...you pretty much summed it up right there.

  • In reply to fire1020:

Bring back Jaun Carlos Osorio, he'd have this club play with some discipline and intelligence, particularly
in view of the talent available. The team still makes the same mistakes time after time.
They'll probably need 14 to 16 points to make the playoffs, out of 11 games.
Probably, 10 games in view of playing L.A. next week, the Fire's only advantage over the Galaxy is Bruce Arena.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

ONE sub for the Fire!!! WTH!!! that game goes to De Los Cobos for not using enough subs. The only sub was their dangerous weapon in Nyarko. You are kidding me....Carr for Nyarko. WOW!!!! I was ready to break to TV set. Collins John did absolutely NOTHING ZERO NADA!!! I saw McBride running up and down from the bench for 5 minutes and that is it. Fire lost last Saturday on 2 days rest and Seattle won tonight on 2 days rest....unbelievable. Bad call on Ljungberg results in a one game suspension (5 yellow cards). I would like to hear the DLC's explanation with this terrific game plan.

  • In reply to cesba:

Colorado hammered Houston 3-0. The Fire blew an opportunity last week to pick up points against a team that is frankly not very good right now.
