  • Castillo is in the starting line up and Ljungberg is listed as a forward. It will be interesting to see where they line up.

  • collins john injured or doghouse?

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Collins John left practice yesterday with hamstring tightness and did not dress today as a result.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

Fire held most of the possesion but a terrible slip up by Conde is enough for a 1-1 half time tie.

The pitch is in terrible condition after this weekend's Buffett concert. Alot of guys slipping and clumps of grass coming up all over the place.

  • In reply to cesba:

Terrible planning on that concert -- I'm sure it's a money maker but how much does it cost if Ljundberg, Castillo, et al get injured? Need to remember it's a soccer park first !!!

  • In reply to cesba:

*sigh* banner in castillo out and magically the revs become an attacking team :(

  • In reply to cesba:

OMG thank god calen carr gets a cheap goal... ok fire finish this

  • In reply to cesba:

Fire lucky to win, but then again revs goal was lucky in the first place

they needed this win tho - tie was as bad as a loss IMO. looked like they threw conde forward the last 10 minutes or so, playing with basically a back 3 + pause at DM until the score

  • In reply to cesba:

That was the best I have ever seen Cailtin Carr play ever. If he continues to play like that then he is a better option than Banner at this point. Freddie was man of the match for me. We kept the ball quite well in the corners and looked good while doing it. There were times during the game where they were trying to keep possession too deep in our half and that led to the Conde slip. Too many risky, unnecessary passes in the back that CJ and Desan aren't capable of handling. Gonzalo looked good and it was nice to see him back. If Banner had to come in, I would have liked to see him go on for McBride and moved Nery up top. But we got the 3 points at home which is a good start.

  • In reply to cesba:

Good goal for Calen, could be a better alternative than Banner, although Banner didn't play that badly tonight, at least he didn't hurt the team. Castillo was off the mark, still needs more time to be game fit,
the stars are Freddie and Sean. Some questions about Conte, must have been the third or fourth goal
he has given up due to poor ball handling this season, not as sharpe as last year, Sega looked shaky at times, probably needs another game or two to reach top form, Robinson looked inconsistant, Brown is about at the end of the road. Defense is not quite there yet, wouldn't give up on Krol just yet, no one has really stood out on defense this year. Poor substitution by putting in Watson-Siriboe,
nearly got beat seconds after he entered the game, Kinney would have been the better choice.
The reason I call the coach De Los Moron is his failure to recognize the stronest players on the team and his constant fiddling with formations. Fire looked like they were playing about up to 65% of their potential.

  • In reply to CountChocula:

    half time sub
    Banner for Castillo
Nery still looks a step off

  • What a crap goal to give up. Just disappointing.
