De Los Cobos tries some new blood in the starting XI with Bone and Umanzor in midfield.
Collins John also makes his return to active duty.
The Fire are still shorthanded on the bench with only six subs available. Husidic and Pause not dressed.
Big announcement at 8:00. I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's Nery Castillo.
Referee is Kevin Stott.
nice blast by banner off the wood work
earlier today nery castillo's wikipedia page said he currently plays for the fire, although now it doesn't. maybe it was an early info leak???
i missed the first half. i see its 0-0 at half. are the Fire at least putting some sort of attack on, and just not finishing? or they playing like they did the other nite?
Much better half than anything we saw the other night. The defense is more organized and they've had a few pretty decent chances offensively.
Of course that may have something to do with the opponent and their style of play.
Banner hits the post in the 13th minute.
Bone just misses John with a run in the box in the 18th.
Umanzor volleys a shot high after a cross from John in the 21st.
Pappa takes a shot wide on a break in the 46th.
New England had one good opportunity saved by Johnson in the 28th.
I think it's lowry who hit the post, not Banner. Then again, I'm either going blind or the camera work is awful, way too far from the action, no angles, no replay closeups.
i'm getting a spanish feed. i only understand a few words, but they sound frustrated with the fire. i hear the word "mal" a few times. and a kinda "ahhhhhhrrrggg" sigh after a poor header by mapp
It was Banner.
4-4-2 with John and McBride up top.
Mapp on the left, Pappa on the right. Banner and Lowry in the middle.
Ward is also in for Kinney at right back while Umanzor moves from left mid to left back.
mapp just gave me a chad barrett flashback
That was Barrett-esque.
Chad Barrett scored his fifth of the year today for TFC.
its like its just 11 random players out there, no plan, no cohesion, no teamwork, no idea... *sigh*
DP is nery castillo
should be a good signing. lord knows we need some MAJOR help!
I'll have the Klopas and DLC post game press conference up shortly.
So its just send it into the box and hope someone gets a chance? Better, but still yikes!
so mcbride on for bone and mapp on for krol. looks like they going on the offensive this half ?
