Conde / Fire Discussing New Contract

Sam Stejskal has an update on the contract negotiations between Wilman Conde and the club.  The Fire have made what agent Diego Gutierrez called an “interesting” offer.  The decision on whether to stay with the Fire or pursue possible offers in Argentian, Spain, France, or Mexico is up to Conde. 

Fire Alumni : Shore takes over at Miami FC

Former Fire goalkeeper’s coach Daryl Shore has been hired as the head coach of Miami FC in USL’s USSF-Division 2.  The Miami Herald has some facts incorrect but you can read the story here.  

Conde Added to All Star Roster

Blanco to Irapuato Official

It’s official.  Cuauhtemoc Blanco will not be returning to the Fire this season. Blanco confirmed on live televsion (Fox Soccer Espanol) this evening that he will be playing for Irapuato.

Blanco to Irapuato Not a Done Deal

According to this article over at SBI, Cuauhtemoc Blanco is still weighing the offer from Irapuato and no deal has been finalized.  This jibes with what I’ve been able to gather from inside Toyota Park.  There have also been rumblings of additional player acquisitions although no names have surfaced yet.
