The Fire will officially introduce Nery Castillo at a press conference at noon on Thursday. Castillo is expected to beginning training with the team that morning.

Given the late start in training I would assume that he would be doubtful to debut against the Galaxy on Sunday night.

given the trouble the Fire had fielding a full team+bench the last couple games, and now they are mapp-less, are they gonna be able to do so vs the Galaxy this weekend?
nyarko?
thorrington?
pause?
dasan?
kinney?
carr?
Nyarko, Husidic, Robinson, Kinney, and Carr all trained today and yesterday. Nyarko said he should be good to go for Sunday. Robinson, Kinney, and Carr all trained last week so they should be ready as well. Don't know about Baggio.
Thorrington still isn't out training.
good, at least nyarko is back. the Fire have stunk it up badly since nyarko has been out.
he may not be a good finisher, but he is the engine that runs the Fire offense this year.

Some good news on Nyarko.
Thorrington's still out? Shocking! ;)

With all these players back, the Fire may be able to put up a contest against LA. Still hoping to see Johnson in goal and Umanzor as defensive mid, those two did great in the last match.
GR: Any news/guesses on who the second DP might be if they do sign one? I've been searching the internet looking for hints and besides mentioning that they were in the market for a second DP nothing is mentioned. With the Mapp trade and the obvious need, I think its safe to guess they're looking for a midfielder.
Guillermo Franco, Mexican free agent and Castillo is the midfielder.
sean johnson to start in goal at LA on saturday?
even CDLC does not know

Gotta love a man with a clear vision for his team;)
They said they would announce him by the end of the month, so in theory we should know by Saturday...
forgot to add: husidic?
man thats a lot of injuries
Lowry also got KO'd in the last SuperLiga game
Frank Klopas appeared on Monsters and Money in the Morning today to discuss the Fire and the MLS All Star Game. Some of the questions were....silly....but at least they made they effort although Mike North wasted some time screaming about David Beckham.
