Cuauhtemoc Blanco answered questions about his future on his radio show today and assured listeners that an announcement is imminent, maybe in the next few days. Blanco said that ideally he would like to retire with Club America but they have not been able to reach an agreement.
His remaining options are returning to Veracruz or coming back stateside to Chicago. Blanco went on to say that he "loves Chicago and would enjoy finishing (his) career there."

Please Frankie -- let Blanco retire in Mexico! Trying to salvage this season by bringing him in is the worst of short-term thinking. I think he was great and great for the Fire but the decisions on DP's need to be made with more than 3 months in mind. Better to experiment with some young players than waste that money.
