4 New Trialists
Sam Stejskal has more info on the trialists on mlssoccer.com. Malaury Martin is interesting since he has a decent resume and is only 21 years old. He's also an attacking midfielder.
Here are some notes on Martin from a Ligue 1 scouting report:
Malaury Martin, Monaco, CM/AM, 88
Rating : 8.5C, Bodmer
Talent : Martin is the leader of the 88 selection and a real talent. He has excellent skils with the ball but also plays well in the spaces.
Season : He was loaned and didn't play enough to my liking.
Martin is currently captain of AS Monaco Fc reserves and has captained the France National Football team at every level from u-17`S to u-21's.
He was also one of the stars in a recent u-19 European championships in which France reached the semi-finals.
Martin is a rugged and uncompromising central midfielder with a great range of passing and a wicked free-kick.

I would still think a central midfielder would be priority number one but you have a very valid point about the defense.
Sure the defense has let us down lately but if we brought in a "defending defender" then who sits? The players have played well in most of the games. They play good soccer for 80 min. The problem is that the games are 90 min and we only play 80 good min. Mapp has done really well in the middle, Pappa and Nyarko have done really well on the outside. Pause does his job, Husidic does his also. Conde thinks hes better than this league and is starting to try and dribble too much and is going to end up on a relegated French side.
they should get smeltz from NZ, we need a goalscoring striker to pair up with mcbride
