  • I see the Fire have alot of defenders but thin at the midfield position. Marco Pappa needs to step up and take his game to the next level. After 2 games, he looked raw at times. Blanco has to come back and provide a spark on that team.

  • In reply to longoria3:

What kind of spark could a 37 year old who has played for a year and a half straight bring to this team? The kind of spark that just screams and intimidates his teammates because the pass would have made him move a little and he didnt want to?

  • In reply to Rubberbandman189:

Maybe the first 11 need to step? I don't think bring Blanco will help...

  • I wonder who is faster? Umanzor, Banner, or Krol? ;)

  • In reply to cesba:

If The Fire bringing in 2 more players who is on their way out?

  • In reply to cesba:

The Fire is currently at the 24 man roster limit right now. It will be interesting to see if the player's union releases salary information as readily as they have in years past in light of the new CBA. It's tough to guess what sort of wiggle room they have without knowing what the salary cap situation is at the moment.

  • Banner might be moved up to left-mid on the depth chart with this move. Anything else would make no sense.

  • He should be a left back. Hes not good enough to be in the midfield. He could make a name for himself at outside back because he has the speed to get up and down, its just too bad that we cant showcase that because we dont have the players to do that. We dont keep the ball enough to make him be an attacking full back. We need a defending full back because that is what we are doing majority of the game, defending.
