Conde Injured?

The Sun Times' Len Ziehm is reporting that Wilman Conde left training early today with pain in one leg.  Carlos De Los Cobos is hopeful that Conde will return to training tomorrow.

Hopefully the injury is not serious enough to keep him out of the Chivas match since Dasan Robinson is still not back at training despite not being listed on the Fire's midweek injury report and Kryzstof Krol will be serving a one game red card suspension.

As expected Deris Umanzor will start at right left back on Saturday.

  • I really hope this is nothing. Of all the players on the team, Conde is the one we would miss the most IMO. he is all in all one of the best defenders in MLS. If only Baky were still here(sigh).

    2008 Bakary or 2009?

Good point, Joe. I don't miss any player who doesn't want to be here and fight with everything to help the Fire win.

I wonder where the Cubs and Sox got the idea of playing for a cup during the regular season?

  • In reply to cesba:

That's what I was thinking too. The might as well have called it the community shield.

  • I don't know about you, but I would like to know where John Thorrington goes out for dinner. ;-)

  • Speaking of the Trib, on Saturday they will again run their "Find the Fire pre-game blurb" contest. Clue: It's usually buried amid the minature type in the league standings page.

  • "As expected Deris Umanzor will start at right back on Saturday."

    What? Don't you mean Left-Back?

  • In reply to RadioGonzo:

    Oops...you're correct....left back.
