Sunday's Games: Your Open Thread

The best of today's games feature Fulham-Sunderland (9 a.m. on Setanta Sports), Everton-Tottenham (10 a.m. on FSC), and one of the most intense rivalries in the world, Roma-Lazio (1:45 p.m. on FSC).  Hopefully the Roma-Lazio game doesn't end with any rioting this time around, but you never know what will happen when the two Roman sides go at it.

On another note, here's a little bit I wrote for Greg Seltzer's blog "No Short Corners."  The piece answers three questions about the Fire's 2009 campaign -- what went wrong, what went right, and who/what the Fire needs to acquire this offseason.  I invite you to check out the link and answer those three questions in the comments section below.

Enjoy your day.  I'll be back later on should anything exciting go down.

  • Sam - yes GBS would be a great steal.
On the logistics side, what do you think Klopas and company are doing to draw him or other talent when the coach is not set? How do you spin that? Do they pull in McBride in to discuss philosophy and strategy? Do you focus on the fan base? I don't know how interview-able Klopas is on these issues, but it'll be interesting to see things unfold.

  • Sam yes i was wondering aswell how close you are to Klopas now liek you were with Hamlett. I was wondering if he could tell you which players they were thinking of targeting to bring in for next position and what positions the FO feel they need to strengthen.

  • should we be expecting anything exciting to go down?

  • In reply to Warren:

Ha, not that I know of.
