  • 10th minute --

USA goes ahead on a Charlie Davies strike. Fantastic diagonal ball from Landon Donovan to Davies who made no mistake in his 1 v 1 with Memo Ochoa.

  • 19th --

Mexico answers with a goal of their own. It's Ismael Castro with a 30 yard missile that goes off the bar and in. What a shot. US gave him way too much time on the ball.

  • In reply to SamuelStejskal:

Blanco with the assist on the Mexican goal. He evaded Clark and Bradley and toe poked the ball to Castro for the shot.

Carlos Vela comes on and Temo's day is done. He did a pretty good job out there setting up Mexico's goal and being very involved in the attack -- especially in the first half. Hopefully, Cuauhtemoc gets some rest and is ready for Sunday.

    58th --

Two subs for the Americans. Benny Feilhaber comes on for Brian Ching and Stuart Holden comes on for his Dynamo teammate Ricardo Clark. A little surprised to not see Jozy Altidore come on.

And Tim Howard makes a great save on a Gio Dos Santos shot.

    73rd --

Nery Castillo comes on for Mexico. US is starting to get their attacking swerve on. Davies almost had his second goal as Holden served a great ball into him but he was unable to get his head to it from 10 yards out.

    75th --

Things starting to get a little feisty as Feilhaber and Castillo get into it after Castillo starts to try and pull an injured Charlie Davies up from the ground by the head.

And Jozy Altidore comes on for the U.S., looks like he came on for the goal scorer Davies.

    82nd --

GOAL MEXICO! It's Miguel Sabah with the strike. Mexico switched the ball from left to right and Juarez beat Donovan to the endline, hit a cross which was then deflected off of DeMerit to Sabah, and he buried it into the roof of the net.

    Final --

Mexico wins 2-1. Check back later for a full match report.

  • In reply to SamuelStejskal:

Did you see all the coca cola cups being thrown at Landon Donovan as he was taking a corner in the waning moments of the game? Sad display.

I wish the fans in that section showed a little more class, as Mexico had a 2-1 lead. The game was awfully heated at times.

  • In reply to SamuelStejskal:

People shouldn't be suprised Mexico won at Azteca. Also US should of practiced at Salt Lake if the were worried about the elvation...
