Fire Practice Report -- 6/22

MLS: JUN 13 Fire at United

Here are a few notes from the Fire's practice today:

**1 - No Thorrington**

The Fire midfielder did not participate in full training with the team today as he continues to rebound from a mild back injury. Thorrington did do some work with the trainers though and looks to be getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully he will return soon but the Fire were pretty mum as to when that may be.
**2 - Easy Does It**

Today's practice was pretty light. This was pretty expected considering a) the weather (it's pretty hot here in Chicago) and b) the fact that the Fire will be playing tomorrow's match against Chivas USA on a 3-day turnaround.

**3 - No McBride or Blanco**

Forwards Brian McBride and Cuauhtemoc Blanco were also not at Monday's training session. The two veterans were given a well-deserved day off.

**4 - Dasan is back**

Nice to see Dasan Robinson return to practice today. He had sat out a few recent matches with a hamstring problem.

  • Any chance you could find out when Thorrington will need to report for USMNT duty in re: to the Gold Cup? Thx.

  • In reply to Graeme:

I will figure that out for you Graeme.

And in case you were wondering, Gonzalo will be reporting to Costa Rica's training camp on Wednesday. Costa Rica will be playing a friendly against Venezuela on Saturday and eventually starting Gold Cup play on July 3rd.

  • In reply to Graeme:

Thanks for the practice report, Sam. Good to read for those of us who can't make it out TP. Keep it up!
