Fire vs. Toronto FC: Match Preview

Hey everyone, I'm excited to bring you what should be the first of many match previews here on Chicago Fire Confidential.

This weekend the Fire are heading north to take on Toronto FC at BMO Field.  The 3rd place Fire (2-0-6) will be looking for a victory to mark an end to their recent 5 game tie streak.

However, the Fire will find that this will be a tough task against
Toronto FC, who are unbeaten in their last 4 league matches.  Toronto,
who is averaging over 20,000 fans in attendance so far this year,
currently sit in 2nd place in the East, one point ahead of the Fire. With defender Gonzalo Segares doubtful for a 2nd straight match with a lower calf contusion, the lineup for the Fire should look similar to the one Head Coach Denis Hamlett used against the New England Revolution last week.

Look for Chris Rolfe to get his second start in a row this week, as the Fire will look to use his presence to continue their league leading road offense.

Here is my projected starting lineup for the Fire this week:

    -------------------------------Brian McBride------------------------Chris Rolfe-----------------------

      -------------------------------------------Cuauhtemoc Blanco----------------------------------------------

-----John Thorrington--------------------------------------------------------------------Marco Pappa------------

  -----------------------------------------------Logan Pause------------------------------------------------------

----Brandon Prideaux-------Wilman Conde---------Bakary Soumare---------Tim Ward------

------------------------------------------------------Jon Busch------------------------------------------------------------

As far as prediction, I don't see things looking too rosy for the Fire in Toronto.  Toronto is on a good run of form and the Fire just can't seem to put it all together right now.  I see Fire's unbeaten streak finally coming to an end, I think Toronto wins 2-1.

What about you?  What do you think the result will be?  How about the lineup?  What do you want to see on the field come 3 o'clock Saturday?
