Welcome to the Spring 2010 Festival of Homes

Chicago Tribune Spring 2010 Festival of Homes logo

For three decades, the Chicago Tribune's Festival of Homes
has introduced home buyers to hundreds of communities and builders
throughout the Chicago metro area. This spring the Tribune is expanding
the Festival beyond its traditional print format through the use of
high-definition video and social media, transforming this event into a
true multimedia experience.

The six-week Festival will
feature scores of home builders and developments from Chicago and its
neighboring suburbs, says Mike Rodriguez, senior real estate manager
for the Chicago Tribune Media Group. Over the course of this event, we
will post feature stories on every participating development. Through
this blog and the Festival of Homes YouTube channel, you can watch video tours of new condos, townhomes, and single-family homes, all from the comfort of your own home.

To make your home search even easier, every post will feature links to builder and development Web sites, where you can learn even more about home styles, community
amenities, locations, and pricing. We're also spreading the word about these
communities through social networks like Facebook and
Twitter.

Buyers who like the convenience of a printed Festival of Homes section can find information on all the event's participants in the Chicago Tribune every Friday from Feb. 19 through March 26.

Builders who wish to participate in the Spring 2010 Festival of Homes can contact Mike Rodriguez at mfrodriguez@tribune.com or 312-222-4044.
