San Francisco drag queen Peaches Christ practically forced us to dress up in drag for the Chicago premier of her film "All About Evil" at the Music Box theater.
For our horror-drag look, Fausto and I channeled Sharon Tate from Roman Polanski's "The Fearless Vampire Hunters." I've always been a fan of Sharon's vampire look and when we interviewed Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, who is also in "All About Evil," she told us that she originally conceived of Elvira as looking like Sharon's character until she decided on the now iconic Elvira look.
The highlight of the pre-party at Berlin was watching actress Mink Stole, who is also featured in the film, enjoy two drag queens reenacting her vulgar scenes from John Waters movie Serial Mom.
It was a hot night and as Peaches said, "Chicago has the worst drag weather!" Boy, was I sweating under all that hair and makeup.
Blah!
